JORDAN/EGYPT IS THE ANSWER.

Reader comment on item: Solving the "Palestinian Problem" [with the No-State Solution]

Submitted by batya dagan (United States), Jan 7, 2009 at 13:43

The Jordan/ Egypt solution to the Palestinian probelm is the only solution that makes any sense at all.

Clearly there is no real connection between the west bank and Gaza. They are not a comprehensive unit. Not only are they separated geografically they are also separated spiritually. They are both Arabs but so are millions of ohers in the middle east.

The west bank was and is part of Jordan.Sixty percent of the Jordanian population is so called Palestinian.

Gaza was and is Egyptian.Even their Arabic is Egyptian.

Both entities have relatives in these two countries.

They had all the chances in the world to stand on their own two feet but kept failing at it .Between Arafat and Hamas they were dragged into terror , terror based on a whipped up hatred of the Jews. They both taught their children to hate Israel and to see Israel as their future Palestine.Only when they will be part of Jordan/ Egypt will they calm down and be able to live normal lives - as normal as life can be in Arab countries.
