Gaza Still Belongs to Abraham's Promise

Reader comment on item: Solving the "Palestinian Problem" [with the No-State Solution]
in response to reader comment: half the truth

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jan 7, 2009 at 19:47

It is apparent that as the outgoing President of the United States of America and his pipe (apologies, Dr. Pipes) dream of the two state solution ( the ill-fated and misdirected attempts to foil the Biblical promises of a proper Israel) are yet held on to as necrotic tissue is being examined for gangrene. Biblically speaking it is a dead issue.

It is evident in the Holy Bible the LORD knew then and He knows now how an unbelieving and faithless world would be treating Israel, doing so in many cases as chastisement for the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and at the same time setting up the offending nation(s) for their own judgment. Such is being accomplished now.

Now elsewhere we read where Zephaniah put the Word out on Gaza, and as that scripture is true as mentioned by this reader elsewhere, the differing opinion here is that this reader understands that prophetic application mentioned to be fulfilled already. We can read where Gaza is part of the Israeli territories in the Book of Joshua as the people of Israel entered into and took the portions of Canaan and surrounding lands as designated by Almighty God, and Gaza is a part.

That Israel parted it out in its bad bargain to obtain its part of ‘peace' according to the ‘Road Map to Peace', we can understand the idea of that part of the Middle East as being forsaken as it relates to being a portion of the land promised to Abraham. The consequences of that are what are being seen today. It is not going to stop there, and no, Gaza does not get to be annexed into Egypt....neither Jordan. They are mentioned in the pronoucements against Israel's bad neighbors; so, not going to happen.

There is more to be said, but activities going on as this is being written need to be observed before moving to the next fulfillment of scripture.
