Reader comment on item: Solving the "Palestinian Problem" [with the No-State Solution]

Submitted by William East (United States), Jan 7, 2009 at 23:59

Try imagining a lasting peace between Muslims and Jews then ask the question would Islam allow such a state of being. I've read a good many passages in the Koran but no passage I've read recommends a universal peace. Every supposition for a peaceful coexistence in the Koran is at some point accompanied by an auxillary mandate to destroy by any means possible those who dare disagree with Koranic doctrine.

You don't agree, you die. Muslims practice justified violence. This is the way of Islam. Submission through brutality, and even against it's own.

There will be no peace in Israel until the day that the Islam practiced by Muslims can always function without violence toward those who do not agree with their brand of religion. But then that state of being would require that Islam function without the full implementation of sharia law. Stuck again.

We seek peaceful coexistence against an protagonist that believes they can produce an earthy state of holiness such that God would set foot upon it and be pleased. The Muslim has the audacity to believe that God's holiness can be matched through the practice of Islam. God's holiness thrives far beyond the ability of man, yet, God's holiness is a gift to all men through faith in Jesus Christ . Islam mandates a behavior based holiness whereas believers in Christ receive the gift of a full measure of God's holiness through an act of God's Grace toward all men.

I say these things to point out the futility of sheathing the sword against an enemy that swears daily allegiance to your destruction, and one that offers no apologies for doing so.
