Indian Muslims, who according to your reader Jaisingh Thakur, were graciously allowed to remain back in India, have other ideas on the matter. They hold partition was a joint conspiracy between the British and the Brahmins. British --- especially Churchill -- needed a part of Indian subcontinent, for the defence of its own interests --- holding up the southern advance of Soviet Russian forces in the aftermath of their successes in WWII.

That part is Pakistan, which was created jointly by UK and US to be used as a miliatary outpost for the West on the soil of India. Pakistan and its armed services had been in Seato, Cento and had been continuously bankrolled by US/UK. The graciousness that Thakur professes towards is a myth. In fact, according to more sober minded, if India would not have been divided and a united India was freed from British colonial hold, a democratic India would have found more justified and dignified role for the total Muslim population.

With division into Pakistan and Bangladesh, the total Muslim population of 450 million Muslim is now divided in three parts and are made ineffective as far as its democratic presence in concerned. Muslims have been cleverly neutralised by the infamous British/Brahminical 'divide and rule' strategies. So Thakur is only speaking about a myth of Hindus being gracious enough to accept Muslims in the new India. They were never given that kind of authority to become gracious. If they had the authority, they would never be gracious.

Brahmins accepted British terms of separation and division of the land, with enormous glee as they were supposed to be getting full uncontested power in the truncated India ---uncontested by the native Muslims.
