in response to reader comment: Discussing Jihad, while war continues

Sir, Muslims have done far far less killing in modern history then so called "advanced races and civilizations" in the period after the industrial revolution. In case you haven't noticed, just about every nation on earth has moved from swords, bows, spears, and knives and on to machine guns, tanks, and fighter bombers.

My point is that we all got blood on our hands. There are not ANY pure and innocent nations in the world.
The debate I mentioned about suicide bombing consists of whether it is permitted for a Muslim jihadi to fight an overwhelmingly powerful invading army by blowing himself up in order to kill ONLY enemy soldiers (when there are none or little chance of civilians being killed). Islam does not say suicide is acceptable for any reason however. But some Islamic scholars point to hadiths about one follower of Mohammed throwing himself into the ranks of superior enemy forces in suicidal fashion as evidence of this. However the extremists leave out that this particular follower (a Sahaba) lived despite his suicidal attacks.

As for hundreds of thousands of Muslims dying, dude, there are hundreds of thousands of Christians dying all over the world and in our own country in horrible violence.

What we see are flash zones of violence in the Middle East. Apparently you want to fan the fires of violence and see them spread all over the Middle East and the world. I personally seek to contain them and destroy the extremists from within by using their own religion against them. Its cost-effective, its been shown to work to different degrees in Yemen and Indonesia, and it almost certainly could be done in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as all over the internet. .

Stubborn hate/fear filled refusal to work with Muslims however on the part of many conservative Americans prevents this from ever becoming a reality. Get past your fears and ego and engage the brain. I'm not talking about appeasement, I'm talking about fighting terrorists smartly with clear benchmarks that can be measured, and with contingency plans if these "alternative methods" fail to work.
