Mr. Dhimmi, you are entirely correct about booty taking being in the Qu'ran. However ask any historian how armies traditionally paid their men during that historical era. The chief form of payment was the usage of booty. Part of how you raised an army was with the promise of taking booty. The crusaders did no less. Guess what, everyone also chopped off heads back then in combat. How savage.

As far as other atrocities, I can find examples of atrocities in ANY empire and in any nation for that matter. Because some people of a particular religion did some horrible things does not mean that they represented the true form of their religion. For the most part in past wars, Muslims have completely ignored Islamic rules of Jihad. I am not here to defend them and they are not my "friends" as you call them.
