That tiny group of extremists

Mr.Pipes disillusionment with the choice of tone and words regarding todays sorry state is justified. The problem,which for a short while was understood,is now floating away into dreamland. The problem revolves around those extremists.

Those extremists,billed as a tiny fraction of Arab Islam,has to go down as the greatest fighting force of all time.For we are led to believe that from sand to shining sand,if only those very few extremists could be defeated,all would be well.Those tiny extremists must control the strings in Lebanon,and Saudi Arabia,and Iraqs sunnis and shia,and in Iran,and Syria,and did I forget Yemen and Gaza,and soon to be the west bank. Sorry. These are not a few extremists.The Arab middle east is overunning with dictators and their capitulating citizens,or religious extemists and their capitulating citizens.

The choice is between bad and awful.Take the Palestinian territories,where Jimmy Carter watched with his own democratic eyes. The choice is between Hamas and Fatah.
