I'm not so sure after the way he's let things get so out of hand. O.k., not "out of hand" per se, just not anywhere near the progress we should have made. As far as I can see, a lot of our fifth-column enemies who are practically walking around with neon signs saying, "I support bin Ladin" are still treated as "moderates." It's a disgrace.

Certainly, if he had been the leader we needed, and had kept on as strong as he started out, then yes I do believe we would have been much more successful on all fronts now. But he isn't, and we still have a long way to go yet.

I long ago came to the conclusion that as decent a guy as Mr. Bush is, and I respect his integrity a lot, that he is way out of his depth on this. I only hope that we'll get a better leader next time. But from where? At this point I just can't see anyone who will outdo Bush. And that's not where we need to be right now.
