in response to reader comment: Conflicted, not confused

Pat, you're views are headed in the right direction regarding the conflict our government elites have on the topic of global terrorism. However, I do think they are also confused, just as most Americans are about this enormously important problem.

I want to add one point to your view. If any human with half a brain would stop and pause long enough to recognize the underlying fact of terrorism and accept it, the world be able to move in the right direction. The fact is, if you look at the history of terrorism over the last 60 years, take Islam away from the picture, you suddenly have no terrorism. It astounds me how uneducated and apathetic the world is, especially the United States. I am literally dumbfounded.

The very freedoms of our Constitution, freedoms we as Americans have taken for granted for so many decades, are slowly being taken away from us as we sit here and talk about this crisis. As I've said in other posts, our political correctness will truly be the demise of our country. It's inevitable. It is already happening as you said in some of our country's major cities.

There are basically 4 ways Radical Islamists plan to take away our freedoms. But I will not get into that here. Maybe some of you will actually do some studying, instead of worrying about Paris Hilton's girly antics.

Wake up AMERICA!!!

After 9/11, I truly thought Bush was our only hope in fighting terrorism and its roots. I was sure of his leadership and confident in his reslove. But I do not feel the same now. We need a true fighter as President....a leader who is not afraid to stand up and fight for the core values of our democracy. The 2008 election will be the most important one of all time, and our enemy fully understands this.

I do think Bush has done a decent job at protecting the country from another 9/11. But the enemy has no time table. They will never go away. And they are here in our neighborhoods. That is why World War III is an unprecedented final war. You can no longer just go bomb a country and end the war. The war will end up being fought on our streets if we do not wake up and act. Our young people need to wake up and smell the coffee before it's too late.

The only thing I know is certain is that GOD will make his judgement when he sees fit. I believe the end is closer than most would think. It's time for all to seek GOD and get to know him.
