The Real Reason "Muslim" Women are Winning Pageants

Reader comment on item: Affirmative Action in Beauty Contests?

Submitted by minister (United States), May 18, 2010 at 15:12

It's very simple: lots of Muslim women have Caucasian(ish) features and brown skin. Women with mocha skin and Caucasian(ish) features have a universal appeal, and are "the type" for LOTS of us guys. They're winning for basically the same reason a lot of recent Miss Worlds are from South America. Call it an "Affirmative Reaction" 8) Rima, Nora, Hammasa, and Sarah are all WAY better looking than the typical "wall of platinum blonde & teeth" pageant girls. And that is why they win pageants.
