What is the number of beauty pageants and population being measured?

Reader comment on item: Affirmative Action in Beauty Contests?

You indicated that there is a surprising frequency of Muslims winning beauty pageants. Among the pageants you select are Mlle Picardie, Miss Nottingham (a city) and Miss AT&T (a small college) If you considering beauty pageants for cities and colleges, there may well be tens of thousands of such pageants every year in the UK and US alone. You've identified 5 Muslim winners over 5 years. What would be a non-surprising frequency?

p.s. I don't know enough about pageants to opine on whether they're rigged or not, or whether their judging criteria or 'correct' or not. Your conclusion may well be correct but impossible to evaluate without the basic math.
