Affirmitive action? Or just hot?

Reader comment on item: Affirmative Action in Beauty Contests?

Submitted by Josh (United States), May 17, 2010 at 01:58

One should remember an important fact regarding Rima Fakih. I can't speak to her other credentials. I don't know if she can do complex math. I don't know if reads Thomas Mann. All I can say for sure is that the girl is a total and complete knock-out. She's gorgeous. Both a buddy of mine and I were silent for a moment when she appeared on the screen.

If she weren't gorgeous, I don't really think that the red-blooded dudes rating her physical assets would have given her any recognition at all. Miss USA is a totally shallow, completely vapid pageant. It's merely an attempt to get a rise out of every guy glued to his TV.
