... Beauty contests politically rigged? Really? You've uncovered what, half a dozen examples out of hundreds (or thousands) of contests around the world.

This is what's called the "law of small numbers." And you broke it.

Better approach: Start with how many contests & how many contestants. Plot the number of contestants by ethnicity over the last, say 20 years. Maybe there are simply more minority contestents (and fewer blondes) today than before.

BTW, Miss USA is a beauty. Gets my vote.
