Submitted by Dee (United States), May 19, 2010 at 21:07 What you conservatives fail to realize is that affirmative action levels the playing field for groups that have a history of being discriminated against by white males. And MOST of them are qualified to the posts that they are given. Maybe white privledge has blinded your perception, as maybe you have never been given dirty stared based on the color of your skin or the texture of your hair. By the way, the Miss America pageant was not "Affrimative Action based". She won because she IS HOT. She has the looks and talent and won the pageant based on her own merit. And look at the runners up. They were blond haired and blue eyed. Isn't a conspiracy there? But I guess not because conservatives ... prefer assimilation rather than acceptance. ...
