Mr.Redmond, while reading your diatribe against the "accurate" accounts of Christianity, I had to get up and get some Windex to wipe the slobber off that you were spitting all over my computer screen! Such was your vitriole, but understandable to a slight degree, if the only exposure you have really ever had has come from Catholicism. Yes, this was this derivative that came out of Pagan Rome that mixed truth with lies originating from, once again like Islam, the original false Babylonian and Egyptian moon god/goddess worship. Hence, we have the false doctrine of 'Mary" as co-redemtrix, and pergatory, and limbo, and men in the form of afterlife saints that they pray to for lost items, as well as the baptism of infants to keep them out of hell if they should die... blah blah non-scriptural Blah! But the hateful tone you use as well as blasphemous language to refer to Jesus Christ as "God's kid" makes me cringe. Yet you are oh so respectful, in your language, to the Hindu in correctly, might I add, assessing their bizarre cast systems. As for the persecution by the church, both catholic and protestant, of factual science-based knowledge put forth by mostly secular researchers, this has been a boil on the churches backside. The church's brass skull has kept out those scientists from embracing Jesus as their redeemer, which is the whole point of his death on the cross. That is it's duty! Whether or not the leaders of the church have the mental fortitude to grast quantum physics and the 15-16 billion years age of the universe, or that God's design originated billions of years ago to possibly evolve over His time scale to put forth the organisms of today, leaves no excuse for ignorant persecutions. The key word here is Ignorance. And to be a fair judge, I might add that these people have taken these points of view out of the fear of dishonoring God and being irreverant of His creation. He will judge their heart and intentions and not hold abject ignorance against them.
As for your statements about the garden. The woman, not your sexist 'Babe' term, partook of the tree of the knowlege of good and evil , NOT the tree of knowlegde. The woman and man did not eat an actual piece of fruit, the truth about what this means is beyond the scope of this site. But the genius of the Holy Bible is that it is written so that both the mentally equipped giants as well as the mentally ill-equipped can grasp the intentions, warnings, and salvation of God's plans. You see the Tree mixed truth with lies. Understand?
