Dear Dr Pipes: The hypocricy of Islamist apologists knows know bounds. I cannot believe that the people who draw parallels between Timothy McVeigh and Islamic terrorists do not see the difference. They see the differences but they will lie through their teeth any way. Just in case someone cannot see the differences, here are a few:

1. McVeigh did not kill in the name of religion. He did not follow a doctrine in which his way was the only correct way and everyones else was wrong. Noone is denying that some people of all religions commit heinous crimes, we are just saying that Islamists are more prone to violence in the name of religion than others.

2. For crying out loud, McVeigh killed nearly 15 years ago. Islamist kill that many people in a matter of weeks.

3. McVeigh was an isolated incidence. Islamist's violence is becoming in a multi-national enterprize.

4. No apology came forward to defend McVeigh. Criticism of violence even from most liberal sections of the Islamic world never goes beyond perfunctory lip-service.

Hope I made it clear.
