Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad or "Inordinate Stress" at Ft. Hood?

Submitted by Stefcho (United Kingdom), Nov 10, 2009 at 08:39

Perhaps someone should ask the Obama administration why they have nothing to say about Muslim individuals and groups (like "Nation of Islam") praising the Fort Hood shooter in public. Surely, for an administration so concerned with rligious equality and curbing 'hate speech', they have an interest in condemning ANY muslim or Islamic group which might incite the "Muslim backlash" they keep talking about.

Surely, openly praising the death of 13 American patriots on American soil must be deemed likely to cause offence (at th very least to those directly affected), and greatly increase the chances of an 'Anti-Muslim backlash'. I look forward to a statement by the Obama administration condemning all Muslims / Islamic groups who cause offence in America by stirring up religious hatred through openly praising terrorism, thereby inciting hatred and producing the possibility of the very violence they supposedly oppose.
