Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad or "Inordinate Stress" at Ft. Hood?

Submitted by Naeem (United States), Nov 9, 2009 at 12:17

As a non-practicing moslem and someone who has proudly served in uniform in US armed forces, I find this whole episode to be quite disturbing. There is no justification for Maj. Hasan's actions. We should first investigate,. If the evidence shows this was terrorism, then we should it label is as such. There is no need for political correctness. Those moslems who think they cannot be loyal to the US should just do everyone a big favor and stay out of the military.

At this point I think the Defense Dept. should give those moslems a discharge who have a problem fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. As for those who think moslems do not kill other moslems, I have one question: have you been watching the news lately coming from Pakistan?
