What do we do now? Several Thoughts....

Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad or "Inordinate Stress" at Ft. Hood?

Submitted by froike (United States), Nov 10, 2009 at 15:55

There are approximately 7 million Muslims who live in the United States. Considering the theological Islamic premise of Jihad on infidels; we can expect many more attacks of this kind. The question is not if, but when, and how frequently. If these types of Jihadist incidents continue, the "backlash" against non fundametalist Muslims will be inevitable. What then, Civil War?

First, I want to address the irony of the comment that US Muslim Military Personnel were advised not to go to war against other Muslims. Virtually every bombing in Iraq, Pakistan, and other Islamic Countries were carried out by Muslims against Muslims. In Gaza, Hamas and Fatah fighters routinely kill and torture eachother. So the hypocrisy of the Imams preaching that Muslims should not kill other Muslims is just plain hypocrisy!

I am not a hater...I am a Jewish Civil Servant that works with many Muslims that I consider close friends. When events like the Fort Hood Massacre occur, we all become uneasy. As close as I am to my Muslim friends and colleagues, the thought of some of them becoming more religious always crosses my mind. I pray that Muslims in the US realize what a great country the US is and that they will speak out and actively fight these against the Jihadist Maniacs. If not, the scenario of the movie "The Siege" might become a bleak reality!
