Profiling muslimsReader comment on item: The Enemy Within [and the Need for Profiling] Submitted by Ann (United Kingdom), Aug 15, 2008 at 15:04 Personally, I do not understand why muslims, particularly in airports, are not more thoroughly profiled as there is no doubt they are the perpetrators of terrible crimes against not only us in the West, but throughout the world. I notice, however, when last passing through Schipol, Amsterdam that I was profiled having been asked to remove my jacket and shoes, along with many businessmen, whereas two muslim women were allowed to pass through wearing headgear and various numbers of jackets, none of which was removed, neither their shoes. I am 66 and a white woman. The world has gone mad. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
