Quran: Time to screen its believers

Reader comment on item: The Enemy Within [and the Need for Profiling]

Mr Pipes is absolutely right.

During the Cold War, when communism was a threat to humanity, it was routine practise for the US State Department through its consulates and embassies to ask probing questions of aspiring immigrants if they sympathised with communist causes/ideology. The reason was simple: that totalitarian ideology was enemical to fundamental individual rights/responsibilities as enshrined in our US constitution. Anyone remotely believing in those causes were (still are) screened out.

Islam's Muslim adherents seek their fundamental goal/vision via the "holy" Quran...There are 61+ odd "Islamic countries" in the world and the list is growing.

I want the readers to take a look at some of the "constitutions" of these so-called Islamic democracies. For instance, the Pakistani constitution in its opening statement, says that the whole world belongs to Allah and Islam is the official religion of Pakistan. So it is the intent of the muslim "ummah" to eventually oversee the earth and its inhabitants from body to soul.

It is unfortunate our State Department is involved in the middle-east Palestinian negotiations and supporting a Palestinian constitution that indicates "islam" to be the official religion of a future Palestinian state. What happens to the non-Muslim Palestinian natives? Too bad! Add one more future country to the rank of Islamic countries.

At least our country should actively screen out anyone from the border who believes in creation of an Islamic state. Obviously, many Muslims would fall into that category because the Quran is diametrically opposed to our constitution and Muslims pledge allegiance to the Quran and not the US constitution.
