Kuntar's fateReader comment on item: Samir Kuntar and the Last Laugh Submitted by yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Jul 24, 2008 at 12:32 Olmert, most likely is the lowest of the low, held like a marrionette in power by those whose idea of Israel is a utopian truncated secular non-jewish north-european country. Israel is simply too comfortable to consider the real world preparing the final solution all around and within, and nothing short of a mini holocaust will cause it to change direction toward true independence. as for Shalit, Israel has not sunk low enough, and under Olmert's leadership will sink lower. My recommendation was to ask not what price must Israel pay to buy Shalit back, but what price must the Arabs pay for holding Shalit. This kind of upending the conventional logic is beyond the abilities present government , and will wait the formation of a possible future leadership. That too will require a mini holocaust because as Arabs love to say, Jews understand catastrophes.
