Saluting Trump; he did what no one has done in 1400 years

Reader comment on item: Trump: You Should Ban Islamists, Not Muslims
in response to reader comment: What to do if a political party declares itself to be a religion

Dear Dr Pipes, By banning immigration form 9 fundamentalist and terror-prone Islamic countries President Trump has done what no one has done in 1400 years of Islamic polity. People apologize for Islam. People try to pretend that it is just like every other religion. People ignore the fact that Islam the religion is deeply intertwined with Islam the political party. And in all this confusion, throughout the last 14 centuries Islam has produced murderers after murderers who use the religion to conquer and kill. And, by and large, Muslim people have ignored these murderers as if they have never existed.

We can start from now and discuss the plight of the Yezidi at the hands of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or we can start from way back and discuss the people killed by Timur Lang who killed every one on whom he could lay his hands on, the story of political Islam is always the same: violent wars to gain more territories for Islam.

If Islami does not separate between religion and politics, we need to do it for it. We need to make it very clear that Muslims need to introspect and change, They need to curb their politics so people can live in fairness and peace. We should have done it 1400 years ago without raising our swords. We should have done it by just raising our pen.

President Trump did just that. Thanks You, Mr President, we are with you.
