The Qur'an itself IS also really only a Hadith!

Reader comment on item: Trump: You Should Ban Islamists, Not Muslims
in response to reader comment: think about total of Quran-Hadits-Sira (1200 years old + unchanged) + what apologists say.

The ahadiths and maddhab fiqhs may be contradictory but only in that the avoid any and all truly objective universal principles, in favor of subjective us-versus-them and might-makes-right. In other words, they declare a general universal brotherhood of man - but then invariably amend it and limit it to being only for them selves, within islam. Repeat that process endlessly. Anything and everything in the Qur'an which seems reasonable and generalized is usually contradicted in the very next few lines, while everything which is specifically subjective is never specifically contradicted.

Secondly, we cannot disparage the seemingly contradictory parts merely based on the fact that they were taken down by fallible mortal men who followed Muhammad around - because it was those very same fallible mortal men who also followed Muhammad around and took down the details of Qur'an itself.

In short, the Qur'a itself IS also merely a hadith ... albeitnone which the caliph Uthman chose to keep while he had the other parts of it discarded and burnt.
