Reader comment on item: Trump: You Should Ban Islamists, Not Muslims

Submitted by Michael S (United States), Dec 11, 2015 at 14:51

Daniel,

I am amazed ... Trump never said we should "ban" anyone, including Muslims. He said that , due to the fact that we are AT WAR WITH MUSLIM TERRORISTS, we need to TEMPORARILY restrict Muslims coming to this country until we figure out what the hell is going on. You know that the US, and countries around the globe, have consistently banned certain nationalities, people groups and ideologies from entering their countries, for any number of reasons. What Mr. Trump is suggesting is not unusual to anyone except the "Politically Correct" crowd that is unwilling to do anything to offend Muslims, even at the expense of common sense.
