God (Islam) has to be better, or is otherwise superfluous.

Yes, very interesting. Found nothing I disagree with, much I agree with in your post.

About Tu Quoque; Oh, yes, in my many dialogues with Muslims, face to face + online, and with "liberals", Western-Islam-defenders too, TuQuoque was used all the time. I then agreed with them, but with the understanding that when Muslims in turn tried to paint America, the West etc as bad, then I too would and could, being well informed, rely on TuQuoque-reasoning.

And once I argued that "God has to do more than play for a draw, which Tu Quoque really boils down to, God has to Win!". Because if all God can do is draw in everything with humans, in other words, if God never is better than humans, then there is absolutely no point in God's intervention, or in Islam!
The TuQuoque-expert-Muslim that I told this, disappeared almost immediately, and afterwards never argued again with me, although we remain colleagues until this day. Oh, I know, both Muslims and Christians CAN ARGUE that God's intervention WAS beneficial, but the best Muslims at least can come up with is TUQUOQUE, playing for a draw.

You also seemed to describe to me the "discrimination of lower expectations", something so few Muslims AND Islam-defenders understand. When we look at: Animals, Children, Insane people we do not expect accountability from them. They are incapable of change, it would be foolish. But with adults, supposed to be capable of change, it makes sense to hold THEM accountable. So how do we account for the double standards that Muslims + Islamdefenders apply to Westerners and Muslims?
On the surface it seems that they consider Muslims much more innocent, angelic than Westerners. But when we compare what both groups do, and neither is innocent, then we see that, apparently Westerners are held accountable, thus by extension changeable, whereas Muslims seem to be treated like unchangeable animals, children, insane people!

Like the Muslims who complain about Israel, while remaining silent about all the atrocities happening in Syria!

Take care, my friend
