Reader comment on item: Why the Japanese Internment Still Matters

Submitted by Jo Minogue (United States), Jan 4, 2005 at 16:34

I am in TOTAL agreement with Mr. Pipes and President George W. Bush! Like the Japanese during WW II, so many could NOT be trusted and YES I know so many COULD be trusted. The bottom line is SAFETY for the TRUE AMERICAN CITIZENS and I would rather the President err on the SAFE SIDE. One 911 is ONE TOO MANY!!
We can't take ANY CHANCES and must do what is necessary to protect our citizens and our country. If a person has NOTHING to hide, then they should NOT object to being checked out thoroughly and carefully to make sure they will NOT do anything that would be detrimental to our citizens and our country.
