Reader comment on item: Why the Japanese Internment Still Matters

Submitted by David Redmond (United States), Dec 29, 2004 at 12:35

You can't really believe that those who follow TV News are the "best informed". You might as well have said that those who are the most propagandized and malleable to socialist political drivel are the best informed people. TV News is a picture right out of Pravda or Goebbels, slanted to produce the desired public perception and reaction.

However, concerning your primary subject, there is a world of difference between profiling Muslims to investigate suspicious or possible terrorist activity and the internment of all Muslims in detention camps. Let's be real, former Medal of Honor winners and pregnant white women aren't likely candidates to strap on a bomb and blow themselves up. Our investigators need to focus on the probable perpetrators of terrorism. Also, forget the internment camps, send the Muslims who are involved in suspect activity back to Islam Lands and the ones we catch red-handed should be sent to reside with Allah.
