Mr. Pipes is right and general Barak is wrong although he should have known better!

Territories are won by the sword and peace treaties follow as a political consequence. There must a winner and there must be a loser whom the winner can treat fairly. Israel can do that. The Arabs cannot and would not. Keeping the vast Islamic conquests of the past in mind the loss of 26.500 square kilometres - Israel + parts of Judea and Samaria - compared to 14.000.000 is less than negligible, the proportion being 1 to 600. As to Barak.... probably the general in him is lost behind the costume of the politician. If the "World" wishes peace in the ME it should convince the Arabs that there is no other alternative than conceding.
