Reader comment on item: My Peace Plan: An Israeli Victory

Again ... it is 43 years too late. Israel had it's chance in 1967 when it routed all major Arab armies and had the greater mass of Palestinians packed and ready to leave the "West Bank" for more "friendlier" climes. If it wasn't for a left leaning general by the name of Moshe Dayan who persuaded the Palestinian leaders to have their people stay because "we can all live together", the ME would look a lot different to day and the march to Eretz Israel would have been a fait accompli! Had Dayan been more aggressive the lot of Palestinians would have migrated to Jordan and after 43 years the Hashemite kingdom would have faded and Jordan would have become the new Palestine-----in retrospect a win-win situation! Today, while Israel is strong militarily, it is politically weak and that means trouble as it will be forced to make further concessions. Believe or or not, the Palestinians have a sense of victory no matter how long it takes!
