If a Jewish state is good enough for the "Palestinians" why create a modern Jewish state for the Jewish people? Couldn't the Jews who returned to Israel after 2,000 years have instead remained in the German state, the Polish state or the Russian state? Or, to ask it in another way, how can the problem of Jews being a minority in another people's country be the solution for "Palestinians"? While "Palestinians" may be a recent invention there is no question that they are now a nationally unique people just as no one can claim that Americans are Europeans. So how can two distinct people lay claim to the same land? The only honest answer is: they can't. One can stay, the other one must go.

In your example you brought up the defeat of Germany and Japan. That defeat was achieved by sending the Germans back to the state of the Germans and Japan to the state of the Japanese. Had Germans stayed in Poland and Japanese in China they'd still be fighting today. The Jews in Israel already are in the state of the Jews. Let us continue along this logic and state the obvious: its time to send the Arabs back to the land of the Arabs. You may think that you are a humanist by rejecting the idea of Arab expulsion from the Jewish state but that kind of thinking only prolongs the cycle of violence. And to say that the Arab is better off in an economically advance Jewish state is condescending to the Arab who rejects the notion that his national pride can be bought off and puts an unfair demands on the state of Israel.
