Reader comment on item: My Peace Plan: An Israeli Victory

Submitted by Andrew Stunich (United States), Apr 29, 2010 at 12:22

It is refreshing to see someone analyze the Arab-Israeli Conflict that actually truly understands the issues. Thank you. I would, however, add the following. The conflict has dragged on because Israel and Western culture has become too "civilized" in an odd and self-destructive way that allows the conflict to continue into perpetuity. The end result is that the goal of acting "civilized" is resulting is more harm, bloodshed, and lost opportunity than a more traditional approach wherein the enemy is crushed and restructured as was WWII era Japan. The Palestinians and the entire world would be better served if the Palestinians were utterly defeated and the pervasive, malevolent influence of Islam elimintated so that the Israelis and Palestinians could build a better future. Any Palestinian that really wants peace would prefer to live in an Israeli controlled society rather than just another dysfunctional, unjust, and oppressive Islamic state.
