Reader comment on item: My Peace Plan: An Israeli Victory
in response to reader comment: Define Victory

Submitted by John R Peacher (United States), May 2, 2010 at 14:55

Victory is the total, absolute defeat of those who seek you harm. No compromise under any circumstance. Germany and Japan were totally defeated in WWII; we knew what victory was only a short 60 years ago.

Until the Islamist's realize that they are totally defeated with absolutely no hope of realizing their dream which is the total destruction of democratic Israel, there will be no peace. Should the other democratic nations finally come to their senses and realize that they would be next should Israel cease to exist, there will be no victory.

Sending terrorist sponsoring nations back to the stone age for a season, a generation or so, where they would have to work their fields by hand, where their oil fields were confiscated and run by democracies, where they would again learn to raise and grow their own food would give them ample opportunity to realize their foolishness of teaching hatred, violence and suicide. There may be no other way. The survival of civilization may depend upon us being this determined to defend human and civil society.
