Reader comment on item: My Peace Plan: An Israeli Victory

Submitted by Idiot (United States), Apr 30, 2010 at 10:27

The esteemed Daniel Pipes wrote: "Therefore, if Jerusalem is to win, that starts with a change in policy in the United States and in other Western countries. Those governments should urge Israel to seek victory by convincing the Palestinians that they have lost."

Mr. Pipes' ... belief that any country would desire for Israel to achieve victory over any enemy. Review the factual history concerning all of the wars that the modern state of Israel has fought. In every conflict in which Israel was on the cusp of achieving total victory over her adversaries, the United States and/or the U.N. stepped in and coerced Israel into accepting a poor substitute. ... anyone else who believes that Israel can rely upon the good graces of this secular world is also making an existential mistake.
