Reader comment on item: My Peace Plan: An Israeli Victory

Submitted by Joe Six-Pack (United States), May 2, 2010 at 08:07

This subject is much too large to deal with in any detail without writing a complete book. Or a series of books. I do disagree in that Israeli victory will not be possible without the entire Muslim population changing it's views. I see this as a clash of cultures. Freedom of expression and economic pursuit against control. This is an oversimplification and overgeneralization. However, the general incapability of the two conflicting concepts is one of the major issues that is at the core of the conflict.

I do agree that it will take victory by one side or the other to end it. (Actually, only the particular issues that are present at that location will be ended, war cannot be ended. Human nature demands conflict. It is just that Islam is so repressive of human nature that anger is a common result. Capitalism and freedom allow human agression to move into more constructive outlets.)
