"To day even we can ban the loudspeaker, because we can subscribe from telecomunication operator via short message service(SMS) the accurate time for prayer, now, it become the trends in Indonesia. So my conclusion, who bans minaret and who defends minaret as part of religion were equal in stupidity!!"

But Barry , perhaps the people who banned the further constructions of minarets in their own country (the Swiss) - had the same realisation that you do ? That it is the 21st century and we have SMS etc to alert muslims to do their muslim thing. So the Swiss were acting not from stupidity but from an awareness of a technological solution. Perhaps Muslims there who don't accept a technological solution are upset because they see it as a loss of face - that they don't get to shout whatever it is they shout all over the Swiss countryside. They are used to getting their own way - and when they don't they throw a tantrum.
