The loss of the minarets is of a small matter to the islamists. They are willing to have small bumps in the road to their destination of islamic world control.

Yes the muslims love their minarets, they are symbols of power and status. However the islamists know that one day . . . if they keep coming to the west, and having multiple children that they will be able to put up all the minarets they want, while at the same time removing any and all non muslim religious symbols. The same as in each and every muslim country there is little non muslim representations allowed.

The banning of the minarets is of importance if it is a sign of things to come, such as banning sharia law in the west, ending forced marriages and stopping the massive amount of islamists coming to the west.
We shall see.
