Reader comment on item: Swiss Minarets and European Islam

In my country Indonesia, Islam is the biggest religion with adherents about 85% of 230 million population. I have seen that Islam always want to dominate the society where they live. They want to rule the rest of population with their own rules. They think that all of the world is only for them so the others must follow their rules. That's not only happened in the most "moslem populous country" like Indonesia but also in the countries which Islam is only a minority.
There are many "moderate moslem" exactly. In Indonesia most of Moslems are the moderate ones. Indonesia is a secular country like many other countries in europe. But its still difficult to build a church here. Besides, several churches which is built already, damaged because of the brutalism of the moslems.
It depends on the person. There will be peace with the moderate moslems and chaos with the "radical" ones. But note that most of my coleagues (who are the moderate ones) are seldom and even never read quran (their holy bible). Some of them said that quran is full of harshness, sex, and command to make war with the non moslems. Many of my colleagues are become atheist and even convert into christianity because of that. They know now that the harshness is not because of the people but because of the doctrine in quran. Thats their opinion.
