Reader comment on item: Swiss Minarets and European Islam
in response to reader comment: cultural racism - cultural protectionism

Submitted by havas (Turkey), Dec 12, 2009 at 10:42

so swiss wants to protect her culture and by making a referandum about minares, give a signal to muslims that, swiss hates islam. okay but then why did they -like so many other europeans-- let the muslims settle ,live and work in their country in the first place.now many of those muslims also became swiss nationalities ,if you like it or not.so they have equal rights there.

saudi arabia is more honest. they never claimed they have democracy or human rights. so they can never let churches built there. greeks and bulgarians are more honest ,they have sent millions of muslims out of their country.there is no new mosque in greece. turks are more honest, we sent christians out. we dont let new churches.--but still there are so many empty churches around--but you see, you can openly do this also. but you will not say that you have high human rights values, laws etc. you will say that --yes we are racists and we dont like you. --so simple.dont talk round and round.
