Moderates coerced into accepting the radical point of view

Reader comment on item: CAIR: 'Moderate' friends of terror

Submitted by Lila Reisman (United States), Apr 23, 2002

If what you write is true, how does this organization still have the right to be a voice in this country? If such statements were made, derogatory of the Muslims, by AIPAC, it would lose its privilege of collecting funds and other benefits it is allowed and which, I am certain, that this organization has.

Hatred is an awful thing and while there are some moderate Muslims in the U.S. who would not go along with the practices and sentiments of these radicals, they are being coerced into accepting the radical point of view. The degree to which they succumb to the radicals is a clear indication of the power of the radicals and simply should not be underestimated. We need to do curriculum checks in those private schools and also have those students in the company of American students who can, through this interchange with proper supervision, bolster the reserve of the moderate minded children and their parents.

Thank you, Daniel Pipes, for your intelligent articles.
