Obviously none of us believe Ibrahim is the name Mr. Hooper's parents gave him or if they did it was out of political conviction, not cultural norm. I'm curious to know if he is is related to an old friend of Cristopher Hitchens, a Cornell graduate named Kim Hooper who was an editorial assistant at the Nation many years ago.
