Wahhabism is not to blame

Reader comment on item: CAIR: 'Moderate' friends of terror

dont confuse or muddle wahabbism with terror. it is the most illiterate thing i keep hearing...
its ill-read, and well-misunderstood. it is purposefully distorted by the american govt as to what it stands for, and innocently digested as such by others...
i am a wannabe fundamentalist...and i havent ever felt like killing someone!!
i have read a few of wahhabi's articles... he only talks about returning to the same fundamental teachings of the the Prophet Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Him)... wahhabi was a fundamentalist... the fundamentals are the best guide to peace you can find...

to the muslims, i ask you, who brought ISLAM?!! God through Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). So, how can u be a muslim, if instead of following the fundamentals as he taught it, you follow what someone else says?!! If you want to, follow some other saint or whatever, but then you are following the saint, not the Prophet, and so you are not following ISLAM. its as simple as that...thats what the Shahada is all about..

it is about being strict with urself... fighting against ur desires for material things.. about standing up for the weak and oppressed..it teaches u that if u see something wrong, stop it.. if you cant do that, then speak against it... if you cant do even that.. then at least feel bad about it in your heart.. but that is the weakest of faith..
nowhere does it say to kill the innocent.. so dont say what you dont know about..do the first thing that was told to the Prophet ( Peace Be Upon Him ) : Iqra!! READ!!!

muslims dont want to conquer the world, they want to be left alone, their lands, their people, their lives.. live and let live..
