Peaceful?

Can anyone tell me at all when Islam ever had or enforced peace? It never has. Their convert or kill mentality spread from Saudi Arabia to China, and then all the way to France. They are not even peaceful to each other. Iran-Iraq war; Irag invasion of Kuwait. Ramadan existed before Islam as a means of cease fire between Arabs, which included fasting. Mohammed took advantage of it and pillaged caravans, killing his own in the process. Mohammed's last words as he was poisoned by a widow; "Death to the Jews and the Christians". Does not sound peaceful to me.
