I too have been wondering if the Mahdi (or someone who will claim to be the Mahdi) is the AntiChrist prophecied in the Christian Bible. I also am wondering what the possible connections could be between the Mahdi and the expected Jewish Messiah (also supposedly arriving on the scene soon). As I understand it, the Mahdi is supposed to rule the world, and with someone at his side who is supposed to be Jesus.
