Understanding the risks of a psychopath

From what I've seen of bullies, workplace psychopaths and read of historical tyrants, Ahmadinejad is a classic. Decency, civility and rationality will be utterly useless against his manic showmanship. It's as if we have been press-ganged to the Pequod and only 2% of us are alert enough to listen to the ravings of a captain who can beguile and intimidate the rest of the crew and the officers.
