Reader comment on item: Walid Shoebat: "Palestinian turns from radical Muslim to true Zionist"
in response to reader comment: Listen up America

"I think Walid Shoebat is one of the most courageous people in America today"

Courageous? What's "courageous" about spewing hatred against people that your chosen audience already despises? Shoebat claims that he is in danger from "Palestinian terrorists" who hate his "truthful" message. But as far as I can see very few Palestinians even know he exists. Those who have heard of him (by reading about his diatribes on the internet) figure that he's probably a former Phalangist marketing his hatred of all things Palestinian. If he really was in any kind of danger he would hardly allow his picture to be plastered all over the net.

What we have here is a man who has found out that he can market hatred by playing on peoples' ignorance of the Arab world.

I might still become convinced that he's the real deal if he would be "courageous" enough to share the stage with a Palestinian Christian who holds a different perspective from his own - someone who might be able to ask him questions about his background to clear up the question marks hanging over his head.

For now I will remain convinced that Moshe is dead on correct in his assessment. Snake oil salesman.
