Reader comment on item: Walid Shoebat: "Palestinian turns from radical Muslim to true Zionist"

Submitted by Piyali (United States), Feb 18, 2007 at 11:36

Wow, I cannot believe the comments and responses that are being posted here.

Let me just say one thing.... I met Mr. Shoebat yesterday.. and heard him speak for three hours. Never in my life have I heard something as courageous and passionate as his message... yes I have read many publications outlining the lives of those risking their lives for the sake of the gospel, but never have I met one in person.

Mr. Shoebat is the real deal. He is strong and speaks with conviction in front of an audience... but then he is meek and humble when you converse with him one-on-one. Why someone would go around speaking and risking your life all over the country for a cause that is fake I cannot comprehend.

Do you actually think that Mr. Shoebat likes what he does?? I mean seriously.... i would much rather behold the safety and security of a "normal" life than constantly being in danger and opposition by those who do not agree with the message I am speaking. The only reason he is commiting his life to this is because of his love for his faith and for the Jewish people... and because he is being obedient to his faith. Anyone who calls him a fake is also calling God the same thing... because it is Him on whose behalf he is speaking for. You mess with Mr. Shoebat... you are messing with God Himself.

He even said... "Sometimes I want to give up.... do I think about it, yes (i don't blame him)...'" but then he talks with God and remains obedient to the calling that has been placed on him. He is a true modern-day prophet who is, like Jeremiah, called by God to speak to a foolish and unbelieving generation.
