Actually I am well aware of the atrocities in the Sudan. I am also aware that the context of this battle is between northern and southern Sudan which never should have been cobbled together by the British as they are quite different territories representing Christianity and animism in the south and Islam in the north. I'm also aware that access to oil wealth played a huge role in this conflict. I'm assuming also that you are aware that the current conflict in the Sudan is Muslim against Muslim, right? Are you also aware that at certain periods of history Christians have been the perpetrators of heinous crimes against humanity?

What you seem to miss here is that Muslims are no more guilty historically of violence than any other religious group. It was "Christian" Germany that was responsible for the 20th century's worst violence. And you are also aware, I assume, that the mass slaughter and persecution of Jews through the centuries have been at the hands of Christians, right? Christians who did what they did in the name of their faith.

Brush up on your history before you start making sweeping claims.
