Though we muslims never tire of claiming how peaceful we are, the facts on the ground in kashmir are different. In Jan 1990 from all the mosques in kashmir there was only one cry " push out the idol worshipers". In addition to this one 'Bitta Karate' single handedly killed more than 45 hindus thus starting an exodus of the hindus from kashmir. Later our boys burnt their vacant houses after thoroughly looting them thereby ensuring that if peace returned the hindus would still not be able to return as they would have no houses to return to. And after all this we have no shame and call ourselves a peaceful people. Today the same boys are also now killing a lot of muslims all in the name of islam.
