A Moderate VoiceReader comment on item: Islam's Future Submitted by D. Matt (United States), Aug 14, 2002 at 21:17 I have read your column and the comments from other respected readers.Islam, like all other religions has good believers and semi-believers. Violence (if it happens) is not necessary related to religion; like the recent sex scandal with the church or the not so far back incident where an advocate of the Catholic Church bombed an abortion clinic in northern Europe. If we take each mistake and relate it to religion we will end up with lots of questions don't you think? For each example I have read in the comments I can give an opposite one. We should not blame all Muslims and Islam for an act done by some extremists. This will lead to a dark future. I think you need more Muslim readers to get more feed back from the other side. Regards, D. Matt Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
